The Culture Behind The Game
IDEAL MEMBER
A daily active member between the ages of 16-30 who is interested or is already engaged with the esports or gaming industry. They are competitive and highly personable, usually leaning towards team based or objective based games.
OUR COMMUNITY RULES
1. Be respectful
Treat others with kindness, courtesy, and respect. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or any form of offensive behavior will not be tolerated.
2. No spamming
Avoid excessive posting of repetitive or irrelevant content. This includes flooding chat, excessive use of emojis, or sending unsolicited private messages to members.
3. Keep Discussions appropriate
Refrain from sharing explicit, adult, or NSFW (Not Safe for Work) content. Keep discussions and media within the server's designated channels and content guidelines.
4. No personal
attacks or bullying
Do not engage in personal attacks, cyberbullying, or targeted harassment towards other members. Disagreements are acceptable, but keep discussions civil and constructive.
5. Respect privacy
and confidentiality
Do not share personal information about others without their consent. Respect the privacy of all members and avoid sharing sensitive or confidential information in public channels.
6. Follow Discord's Terms of Service
Abide by the Discord Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Any violations may result in disciplinary action or removal from the server.
7. No advertising
or self-promotion
Do not use the server to promote external websites, products, or services without prior permission from the server moderators. Self-promotion is only allowed in designated channels, if permitted.
8. Use appropriate language
Avoid excessive profanity, vulgar language, or excessive use of caps. Maintain a friendly and inclusive environment for all members.
9. Use channels
as intended
Post content in the appropriate channels and avoid off-topic discussions. If you're unsure where to post, ask a moderator for guidance.
ONLINE & OFFLINE COMMUNITY
Within the online space, members will be able to schedule and plan out when to either play games with each other, meet up in person, discuss gaming and non gaming related topics. All this will be done through our discord channel for now, with a dedicated channels for the multiple needs a community has. From sharing content, expressing themselves and a charity they want to be highlighted, meeting and getting to know new people, and eventually coming to a WGC online or In-person event!
The offline interaction should be heavily surrounding basic respect boundaries and a direct focus on helping other community members. This can be whether it's supporting a charity event run by one of them, showing up to their events, or meeting up at a WGC event where we can help grow together as competitors.
Older members should act as mentors for younger adults and Teens interested in the gaming industry, esports industry, or just gaming lifestyle. This can be from helping level them up in-game, or even providing them with real-world opportunities in which they themselves can grow into the main character they want to become.
